2008 An Evening of Thank Yous February 21, 2008
Thank YOU Tampa Bay for your gifts of time, talent and treasure invested in the mission of your United Way. Recently United Way celebrated all partner agencies, volunteers, corporate partners and donors during a magical evening of recognition, dance and song at Busch Gardens’ Desert Grill.
Beginning the evening, more than 600 attendees experienced the invigorating dance and drumming by the Dundu Dole Urban African Ballet from the North Greenwood Cultural Arts Center in Pinellas County.
The evening’s emcee, Dick Crippen from the Rays, and Diana Baker, President & CEO of United Way Tampa Bay, publically recognized the many valued United Way supporters. Organizations and individuals were thanked for their role as sponsors, leadership givers, volunteers, agency partners, Workplace Campaign participants and award recipients for their outstanding efforts conducting successful Campaigns.
The evening’s festivities were capped off by a dazzling performance by the Irish dance troupe, Irish Thunder from O’Shea’s School of Irish Dancing in Dublin, Ireland.
