Whenever a disaster strikes, The Salvation Army is on the scene offering assistance - a hot cup of coffee or cold drink, food, a warm blanket, emergency housing, and an encouraging word. The Salvation Army’s staff and volunteer disaster response teams respond to natural and man-made disasters such as fires, explosions, earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis and other emergency situations that place communities at risk or which may disrupt family security and well- being.
The Salvation Army's holiday fund-raising activities play a crucial role in sharing the spirit of the season with families in need. The Salvation Army does its best to ensure that no family goes without food, no child is without presents under the tree and that Christmas is a time of hope and healing.
