Serving the Tampa Bay community since 1917, The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Last year the chapter reached more than 93,687 family members with the following services:

The American Red Cross serves as a safety net to help victims of disaster by providing a wide range of support to meet immediate needs including shelter, food, clothing, mental health counseling and medications. The organization’s health and safety training programs helps the community prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies. United Way supports emergency disaster relief and health and safety programs.
